For period 01/04/2019 - 31/03/2020

Aims
Following the success of the Step Forward Tees Valley programme, we have been given an extension until the summer of 2022. In this time we will engage and support a further 1,761 people with complex needs of which at least:

  • 403 people will move into education or training on leaving the programme and

  • 355 will move into employment, including self-employment, on leaving the programme. Of these, 50% will have been unemployed when they joined the programme and 50% will have been economically inactive and

  • 497 people who were economically inactive  will move into job search on leaving the programme.

We will also support people to improve a range of skills (which we call outcomes) and we will ensure that any participant that needs childcare in order to join and benefit from the programme will receive it. A participant's need for childcare support will be assessed by the navigators.
