Paul's story

Paul had low self confidence, anxiety and felt isolated. He had financial issues and hadn’t worked for some time.

He engaged really well with everyone at Step Forward Tees Valley. He attended courses to improve his self confidence, digital skills, employability and started volunteering at Zoe's Place children's hospice as a maintenance assistant. He really enjoyed volunteering and it gave him the confidence to start looking for work.

He practiced his interview skills and techniques with his navigator and was delighted when he got a permanent job at as a warehouse worker at Tesco.
