"I was directed to the Step Forward Tees Valley through Mind as they thought the programme would benefit and support me.
I met my navigator Samantha and we talked about my barriers. I was experiencing mental ill health and isolation. After a long chat and assessment, I booked myself onto the next health and wellbeing course. This was something I really benefitted from and I even wanted to go on twice! Following on from this I attended an employability course which really got me job focussed.
To reduce my isolation I got involved in the Hartlepool walking group which again has hugely benefitted me, as I have met different people and had a laugh in a larger group of people - something I am not always used to.
My navigator also supported by building my CV which has been really helpful and I have noticed an increase in responses to it. I am now attending a pre-employment course which will hopefully lead to future employment.
I have found the support brilliant from Step Forward, I cannot fault it in anyway. I would recommend the programme to any one suffering from social anxiety problems as it has really developed my confidence and job opportunities."
